Kowloon Market (Kanata)

Huge selection of regular and Asian produce, fish, meat, frozen and canned food. The options are endless and the staff are friendly and helpful. It was my first visit and I plan to go often to experience the many grocery items they offer as well as their already made meals.

HUGE store with full selection of produce, packaged goods, fresh fish market, bakery, dairy, frozen food section… plus woks, pans, cooking utensils and dishware! Clean and organized! Good prices. I bought a wok, oils, specialty sauce, fresh veggies and ramen noodles to make a yummy ramen stir-fry!! For Christmas, I have an idea to shop there and make gift baskets filled with everything you would need to make a noodle stir-fry plus tea, biscuits, potato chips and other goodies!

Decent sized store huge selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. Also have fresh fish and decent meat selection. Each aisle has a big selection per aisle. Pretty big frozen section and fresh tofu and noodles too. But you can’t forgot the hot foods section. From bbq pork, roast pork, sweet and sour pork and chow mein noodles. Good prices from the combo and the bbq pork. Take a look at my photos and come try. Also the bakery items only come in on Saturdays and Sundays limited options but the bbq pork buns are a great steal, also you can purchase 6 buns and get no tax on them. Another thing is Tuesdays and Fridays are when they get their frozen and refrigerated items such as the steam buns and tofu. Wednesday is the day they get all the grocery aisle stuff.

I was there this morning. It’s only been open for a few weeks, I am hoping that they will maintain, the cleanliness and tidiness of this Grocery shop, ( not like one in the summer set area) not sure if it’s the same owner.
I spent almost an hour inside, checking some item and comparing to the rest of the Asian shop around.
Some items are cheaper than other shop, some aren’t.
Definitely freshness is there, there are selection of brands to choose to.staff there I didn’t really had a chance to communicate with them, the only reason why I gave a 4* was that, I find the parking lot is small, the spaces were tiny I thought.

It’s a new store in the Kanata Lakes neighborhood!

Great Chinese supermarket that sells a lot of traditional Chinese products and some oriental spices.

Not only will you be able to find ingredients to make your favorite Chinese dishes at home, but also, soon, you will be able to grab a quick and delicious lunch or dinner while you shop.

Overall, if you’re a fan of Chinese cuisine or just looking to try something new, this store is a must-visit. You won’t be disappointed!
