Amuse Kitchen & Wine

From presentation to palate, the quality of ingredients and Chef’s mastery over the kitchen was evident throughout the course of the dinner. Each of our senses was awash with the vibrancy, and delicacy, of every course throughout the meal (not to mention the perfection of the wine pairings). Whether the most delicate jambon, the freshest lamb, or velvety chocolate custard – the dishes were brought to the table with both harmony, and joyful service.

Amuse is a culinary delight, and another crown jewel for the city and region. A wonderfully cozy and elegant restaurant, our expectations were, quite simply, exceeded. This Valentine’s Day was memorable for many reasons, and at the forefront was our experience at Amuse. A local kitchen that deserves its place amongst our very short list of recommendations to friends, and family.

My wife and I were in Kanata for a Sens game and wanted to have nice pre-game dinner in a non-franchise / small restaurant. While Amuse is about a 10 minute drive from the CTC, I highly recommend it!
We arrived shortly after 5:00 (so yes, a very early dinner!) and we were the first customers (no surprise) on a Monday night.
Service was great! The waiter was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and just a happy guy.
The food is wonderful, especially if you’re into small plates and sharing. My wife and I had three plates (they recommend at least two per couple) and each was delicious. The chef does a great job of combining flavours and textures. The wine list, while not extensive, is very good with choices from around the world.
The interior ambience is pleasant although the context (a small unimpressive suburban strip mall) is a bit off-putting when you pull up. It’s a small restaurant but all the better because the kitchen can focus on each dish and each table’s orders.
We both loved the meal and highly recommend it!

I found this gem while searching for a non-chain restaurant in the Ottawa/Kanata area while here on business and wow, did it deliver! The food was absolutely incredible, every dish was bursting with flavour and perfectly portioned. I visited twice during the week and had two different servers, and both nights the service was top notch. friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The wine, the dessert, the atmosphere, everything was spot on. I tried four different warm plates over my visits, each one better than the last, and I can’t wait to come back to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommend!

The duck breast, risotto, creme brulee and lime & coconut deconstructed cheesecake ❤️.

All of the plates were clean by time we finished our dinner. The chef does an amazing job on his food. The waitress is so personable and welcoming.

I came here for my birthday dinner and will be coming back for all major celebrations because you know that your money is paying for quality.

The little candle coming out with dessert was lovely and thoughtful. Thank you to you guys for the wonderful experience on my birthday.

Went to celebrate a birthday and we split four plates between the two of us. Our favourites were the torched scallop crudo and the bison carpaccio. Loved the creativity in all of the dishes. Definitely a hidden gem in Kanata and can’t wait to go back!
