They had the best sandwiches in the Ottawa area and then they ruined it by changing the buns and taking away the option to choose toppings. Don’t like mayo? No sandwich for you. Extremely disappointing. Devastating loss.

Went there to try their poutines on lunchtime.

Paid $18 for a large poutine and a bottle of Coca-Cola.

Poutine was fine but nothing exceptional. Tasted like those in cafeterias at ski centres or high schools…ok, just okay, nothing more.

I might be wrong but it felt like these are frozen fries, not those freshly cut one as you can find in genuine fresh french fries places.

A few comments to explain that lower tier review:

– ustensiles and plates: made of plastic and styrofoam, so even if you eat there don’t expect a restaurant vibe. From an environmental standpoint, if you intend to invite guests at your venue, you should provide real ustensiles and plates.

– pay and tip at the cashier before receiving your order, and expect to be called to the counter to get your order, and clean your place after. This is a functional concept, but personally I don’t like the cafeteria concept in a dine-in restaurant.

I might give it another try for their sandwiches or breakfast, but won’t be back again for their poutine.

Great spot for poutine! I go here every year when I visit my parents, it’s good & only a few blocks away. The only disappointment was they didn’t have any beer this time.

Stopped here for a quick lunch while riding bikes from Ottawa. Nice little sandwich shop. We got the ham and brie and the Italian combo plus a couple of poutines. Sat on the patio in the shade of an umbrella and really enjoyed ourselves and the food was delicious. Thanks for lunch!!!

Very nice dine-in experience. Very close to 5 stars, but not quite there (yet).
Great:
Ambiance is very nice. Newly opened and very tastefully decorated.
Fresh bread brought to start our meal was delicious.
Varied and innovative menu. Lots of tartar and wild boar.
Could be improved:
Several wasps were by our table so we ended up changing places
The antipasto and la planche didn’t come with bread or crackers on the side (we wish we’d saved the entrée bread!)
Fries were good enough but I expected fresh cut in Quebec
Service was very friendly, but seemed inexperienced.
When ordering a soda, you don’t get the whole thing. Only what originally fits in the glass.
