Absolutely love this place! Istanbul Food Mart is such a gem — the store is always clean, well-stocked, and full of great Turkish and Middle Eastern products you can’t find anywhere else. The owner and employees are incredibly friendly and welcoming, they make you feel right at home every time you visit.

On top of that, their doner/gyro is hands down the best I have had in Canada — it honestly tastes just like the ones you’d get in Üsküdar, Istanbul. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of authentic flavour. Highly recommend stopping by whether you’re doing your grocery shopping or just craving a taste of Turkey!

The halka dessert was amazing! So delicious and crispy, it truly reminded us of the taste we had back in Turkey. Absolutely recommend!

Simply exceptional … a Turkish food mart that has everything you need, from fresh meats to a large selection of baked goods and pastry, fresh and frozen baklava, canned foods and a multitude of jars with everything sweet and savory, not to mention their coffee and tea selection, snacks, drinks and popular Ulker products.

On your first visit, you will feel like entering a museum … lots of items to learn about and explore. But don’t worry, you can ask the knowledgeable and friendly staff any question and they’re ready to answer with pride, because talking about the food they sell is talking to you about their culture.

I definitely recommend Istanbul Food Mart. We tried the Adana Kabob and some fresh baked breads and pastry
… they were delicious … and by the way, if you don’t like to bbq the meats yourself, they have a grill on-site with a nice seating area … you just need to bring your appetite.

I really like this halal Turkish meat shop and grocery store. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The store is very clean and everything looks fresh. I always find what I need, and the meat is high quality. Great place to shop!
