Nutty Greek Bake Shop

Service was nice but the food was so disappointing. The phyllo dough on the tiropita (cheese pie) was undercooked and tasted of flour, the karydopita (walnut cake) was dry and crumbly clearly lacking syrup, but worst of all was the soggy baklava, served stone cold with a syrup that tasted of water. There’s not much choice by way of Greek food in Ottawa which may explain the high ratings. We will not be returning.

OMG, can we just talk cookies for a minute, in particular the caramel snickerdoodle cookie. I bought it home with the intention of sharing but there is not a chance in hell that I’m going to share one crumb of the ‘sweet but not too sweet, crispy but not too crispy, chewy but not too chewy’ (you get the idea) treat. Can’t wait to try the other treats (pistachio cheesecake and ginger mo cookie) I bought home. I never get to this part of town anymore, but anytime I know someone who is, I will be submitting my order.

Oh, and the cappuccino was delicious too!

A real gem of a Greek cafe and bakery! They sell all kinds of authentic Greek baked goods, yogurts, and cheeses. Make sure you try their Greek Walnut Cake and Greek Almond Cake – these are absolutely delicious! Their coffee is great too, even the regular drip coffee. The place is very cozy, with nice ambiance. There is seating inside and outside. Staff are super friendly.

Excellent food and excellent service served in a smallish seating area but from the amount of traffic I would say most of the food is great takeout. Excellent lunch options with tasty wraps and the best roast potatoes. So many delicious desserts to choose from! Very much recommended.

I was blown away by the cleanliness of the bakery and the freshness of the food.
I ordered chicken wrap and salad with some deserts. I could tell that everything was made with high-quality, fresh ingredients.
The service was also impeccable. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
