Friendly service and good food. Only feedback I’d give is the food was a little bland. Nothing a little salt and hot sauce on the side can’t fix.

Overall, the price for the quality and huge portions for what you pay is solid. Hard to find places like this nowadays. Id say it’s a hidden gem.

I’m new to the city and this has been the best Jamaican food I’ve found so far. I dine with my eyes so I appreciate a nice looking restaurant. Their wall mural was nice. Their beef patty was alright – I would like to try a different flavor. Their jerk was nice and spicy. They are either using Chipotle or liquid smoke on it, that taste I could do without but I would definitely for it again. Rice and peas tasted nice and shelly.

This is definitely not the best in the city. Not for Jamaican food. I found the food bland and most was over salted. The beef patty had an odd texture inside. It looked, and tasted like Spam. The goat patty was better but again, too much salt. The fried chicken is good. Plantain was nice. The oxtail was not good. Macaroni was nothing to write home about but it good.!The location is so tiny and 100% not accessible. Outside is very dark at night and a bit sketchy. The wait time for food is ridiculous. Be prepared to wait 20 minutes or more. For take out!! I am not saying it was horrible. It’s definitely better than fast food and would be great at a carnival, festival, or a food truck. It seems more like a hobby and not a business. I met the staff/owners and they’re terrific. Great personality but always running around looking unprofessional. I wish them all the best but I will not be returning.

Ordered delivery and the food was amazing, I can’t give less than 5 stars because I’m so grateful it’s halal. I only wish there was more plantain but overall really amazing food!

FOOD:
This is hands down my spot to get some good Carribean food. I started off with the patties, my favourite is definitely the ox tail. Then I graduated to platters; the fried chicken is way up there with some of the best fried chicken in Ottawa, and thats coming from a Korean guy that loves his Korean fried chicken. The Jerk chicken, on point, spicy, juicy, well flavoured. Now the oxtail…..I love oxtail and this is probably the best in Ottawa, there was another place called Chicken Cribb, but since they closed this is number one.

SERVICE: Girl at the front is always smiling having a good time. They are friendly and its great to support a business that is family owned, passionate about food, and giving consistent service.
