Karahi Point Ottawa

This is my favourite restaurant in Ottawa. The food is consistently amazing. The rice is perfectly cooked, the butter chicken is rich and flavorful, and the garlic naan is a must. The BBQ chicken platter was excellent, and the mango lassi is absolutely delicious. The service is outstanding, with welcoming, friendly, and very polite staff. Highly recommend!

Extremely Disappointed – Not Authentic and Overpriced

I would not recommend Karahi Point to anyone who actually knows what authentic Pakistani food should taste like. We paid $200 for 3 adults, and it was a complete waste of money. Here is a breakdown of our experience:
* Goat Charsi Karahi: This was a huge letdown. It was completely tasteless and aggressively over-sprinkled with black pepper to mask the lack of flavor. Worse, the meat didn’t taste fresh; it felt like it had been reheated, especially since the Karahi (the black pan) arrived cold at our table.
* Malai Boti: There was no depth of flavor here. The chicken wasn’t juicy at all—it just tasted like bland, dry chicken covered in basic cream.
* Beef Kebabs: These were honestly terrible. They were super dry and had such an off-putting taste that we couldn’t even finish them and had to return them to the kitchen.
* Reshmi Chicken: This dish had chunks of Paneer in it. I’m not sure why that was included or if it even belongs there, but it didn’t help the dish.

Also, you have to pay extra for Raita with BBQ or Karahi, what kind of BBQ place doesn’t offer free raita?

If you are looking for quality and authenticity, look elsewhere. For the price they charge, the quality is nowhere near where it should be.

I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant. The quality of the food was outstanding — every dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The service was equally impressive; the staff were attentive, polite, and truly made us feel welcome. The ambiance is comfortable and tasteful, making it a perfect spot for both family meals and special occasions. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and exceptional service.

I was craving spicy food and came across this restaurant. It did not disappoint me. It was great. It was very good. Atmosphere was great. The server was amazing. Hygiene was good. Highly recommended.

Delicious food!! I’d definitely return. The serving staff were very helpful and kind, although once the large restaurant became full it got a little difficult to snag a server to get our bill. The restaurant was beautifully decorated though, and it included a prayer room. But again, the food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and well-made. I’ll be going back.
