Greek Village Souvlaki

10/10 some of the best Greek food we’ve had both in Ottawa and in Greece. The service was absolutely excellent and the owner was amazing to speak with. We will definitely be back!

This was my husband and I’s first time coming to eat here and we were not disappointed. The staff here were very friendly, especially the gentleman working front cash who was very helpful and seemed to really like his job. The food was excellent, was ready quickly and the portion sizes were well worth what you pay for!

My chicken was charred so bad, I wasn’t able to eat it since it tasted so bitter. It felt like it was almost burnt. Too much smoke in there that I wasn’t able to breathe and sit for long. I have asthma and can’t stand too much of smoke. The service was nice and friendly. The atmosphere wasn’t bad it was just smoke all over the place. They need to do a better ventilation for the venue. The chicken meat was Halal.

Beautifully decorated restaurant with nice ambiance. Staff were all very kind and friendly. The food was a bit disappointing. The chicken souvlaki was flavoured nicely but was unfortunately very dry. As for everything else on the plate there was just an overwhelming taste of oregano in everything, it was hard to pick up on the other flavours. The fries were not salted and just tasted like oregano. There was a big portion of fries and tzatziki which was nice, but the flavours were definitely a let down.

The best chicken souvlaki in a pita I’ve ever had!! They put fries inside the pita too. The chicken is tender, moist and flavourful and you get lots of it. The pita is soft and fluffy. I asked for lettuce instead of onions, and light on the tzatziki and they happily accomodated. I don’t like my sandwiches too wet/saucy so it was perfect for me this way.

Service was pleasant and the decor is nice and cheerful.

This was the best Greek food I’ve had in a long while. Honestly delicious, and great portion size!

Lots of dishes to choose from, the service was pretty quick, very friendly staff! I will 100% be going back.

The only thing I didn’t love, was the chairs/tables.. They seemed small, especially if you are sharing a bunch of food and have drinks, etc. But other than that, it was a great experience. Such a cute little spot! 🙂
