Gedro Koupé Dwèt Haitian Cuisine

I often order food from Gedro Koupe Dwèt for my elderly parents, and I am never disappointed. The service, quality, and taste are excellent. Once, they forgot my stew peas (sòs pwa); when I returned to pick it up, they had prepared a complimentary “fritay” to apologize. Whenever I’m craving the finest authentic taste of Haiti, I go to Gedro Koupe Dwèt.

The food is so good! It’s already my second time ordering the bœuf fritay. 🙂

Very good fried chicken, fried plantain, rice & beans, and various small salads. The portions are generous.

The service was wonderful; they happily walked me through the menu.

It’s a tiny place with only 2-3 tables, but they’ve decorated it quite nicely.

If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would! I’ve only been in Canada for a few weeks, and I’ve already found myself going back three times, that’s how irresistible this place is. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The customer service is truly top tier: attentive, friendly, and consistent every single time. And the food? Phenomenal. Every dish I’ve tried has been bursting with flavour, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to absolute perfection. You can really tell the passion and care that goes into each plate. On top of that, the presentation is stunning, the kind of dishes you can’t help but take a photo of before diving in. This place has honestly become one of my favourite discoveries here. If you’re looking for incredible food, beautiful plating, and service that makes you feel like family, this is the spot. Highly, highly recommended!
