Altay Flame Uyghur Cuisine

We went here for dinner and were super impressed. Uyghur food is becoming a favourite for me, the meat skewers and the handpulled noodles are like no other cuisine out there.

Food is delicious and well cooked. Our server was kind and very hardworking. Their hospitality is so warm. Honestly a great place to eat at.

My only feedback would be a bit larger portion of bulgur on the meat plate as it felt a bit small and if the salad had some dressing, it would be absolutely knockout.

Will definitely be back to try the other dishes, really impressed and hoping this restaurant succeeds!!

The food was delicious, highly recommend the stir fry noodle and the sizzling beef. We also got the uyghur laghman noodles which were very good and light. The server Mohamed was very nice as well. Highly recommend to everyone interested in trying Uyghur food, and we will definitely come back 🙂

Halal and noodles? You absolutely have to visit this restaurant. Everything was incredibly delicious — we couldn’t get enough of the flavors.

The lamb skewers and chicken skewers were unbelievably tender and flavorful; honestly, I don’t think you can find better anywhere else. Even the beef literally melts in your mouth — it’s marinated to perfection.

The restaurant owners and the staff are all so attentive and friendly. I definitely and wholeheartedly recommend this place.

It was our first time trying this restaurant and we had a great experience. The food was delicious, and the stir-fried noodles and hot plate dishes were our favorites. The service staff were very friendly, attentive, and professional. The atmosphere was lovely as well. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!

This is a fantastic addition to the Ottawa food scene as its the first Uyghur restaurant in town. They’ve kept the menu targeted to ensure quality and it definitely shines through. We had their laghman, Uyghur style Naan, beef skillet and chicken skewers and they’re all delicious. The server was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The prices were reasonable and all food served is halal (even the dishwasher was halal according to our server haha).

We visited this authentic Uyghur restaurant and tried three different noodle dishes, including the famous lagman noodles, along with shish kebab and the smashed cucumber salad. Everything was absolutely delicious—very authentic flavors and perfectly balanced. The noodles themselves were cooked to perfection and really stood out.
The staff was very friendly and made great recommendations, which we really appreciated. The only disappointment was that they were out of mantu, but that just gives us a reason to come back and try them next time.
