Al’deewan (Manak’eesh) Bakery (OTTAWA)

What an experience and taste. Tried dozen mixed pies and the labneh didn’t regret at all. The service from Kafa was amazing greeted me with a smile and explained the different items and had lots of patience with my questions. Definitely coming back and would recommend for sure.

I visited Al Deewan Bakery and had 2 different manakeesh, and it was really good. They offer a great variety of meat options, all halal, at very reasonable prices.

The food tasted very traditional and honestly reminded me of the Middle East. Everything felt freshly made and full of flavor.

The staff were very kind, hospitable, and fast, which made the experience even better.

I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic, tasty halal food.

Everything was a 11/10, especially having the dough which is the base of a manooshe be perfectly made the way they do it here is crucial. Sujuk and kishik is one of those items that many places find a hard time to make right, but Al Deewan nails it and makes it just like back home. Will definitely be back and put everyone on this place especially with the quality of manakeesh dropping in Neighbouring areas, this place keeps it real with quality and portions!

I came here twice and the service is impeccable & the manakeesh are great!!!
We took the Labneh & Veggies, Akawi, Cheese and Cheese & Veggies and they were great. They also sell Turkish candies.

We got the meat, kishiik, kishik with cheese, Akkawi, and Labneh with veggies.
My favourite was the meat and kishik with cheese.
The meat was perfectly flavoured and very clean. The food was made fresh to order.
They use high quality ingredients. Reasonably priced.
They have daily deals make sure to check them out. Will come again.

Al-Deewan is a bakery offering traditional manak’eesh, flat bread dough pies with a range of tasty, healthy toppings worth a number of visits to try out more than a few of their wide variety of offerings. The location is extraordinarily clean, with a clear view of the prep area behind, and glass displays make it easy to examine some of their daily fresh-baked goodness.

Even more than the cleanliness and food is the friendly, positive service. Not only were staff genuinely smiling and hospitable, when they saw I walked with a cane and was planning to carry boxes to my car, the owner himself insisted on carrying them out for me, true to form with genuine Levantine grace and hospitality!
