Scotty’s Corner Diner

I’ve been there for a couple of karaoke nights and find the diner crammed. Perhaps it’s better during the day but I feel it could use a major makeover. I haven’t ordered food but friends at my table did order and it looked and smelled good. Drinks are basic: it would be nice to see more local craft beer. Service is friendly but there’s only one server for the entire diner at karaoke night, so it can be slow. They need one more server on busy nights.

Got a take out club sandwich , got home and the toast was so burnt I threw it out. There was no one in there so you can’t blame that it was busy.
Not cheap either , 24 buck taxes included. I like to support local businesses but come on they need to do better than this. I won’t be going back.
The gal working there was a sweetheart btw.

We always seek out the local family run restaurants when we come to a new place. This was fantastic, great food and great service. Wonderful atmosphere, our server Stacie was fun to chat with and full of local knowledge ☺️. Really enjoyed my burger, home made!!

We visited Scotty’s for breakfast as a group of eight and were seated right away, which was great. The place has a cozy, classic diner feel that we really enjoyed. Our first set of pancakes came out a bit burnt (the burnt side was facing down), but the staff replaced them immediately after my son mentioned it, which I genuinely appreciated. The replacement pancakes were perfect. One of the kids ordered the French toast and it was excellent.

Some of the other breakfast plates were a bit hit‑and‑miss. The eggs seemed to be cooked at a higher temperature than ideal, and a couple of us received a different doneness than what we ordered (for example, my husband asked for over‑medium but received over‑hard). The bacon was quite crisp and the potatoes weren’t our favourite. The meat lovers omelet was also a little saltier than expected and was more like a rolled omelet with the fillings in the center.

If I were to return, I’d definitely go for the French toast or the pancakes again — both were really well done. The kids were very happy with their meals, while the adults had a more mixed experience.

First time at this dinner. We walked in there were quite a few people inside the restaurant, we sat down, good 5-7 minutes after we offered a drink, they came a took our order(Judy) was our server. She was ok, attentive and good customer service.
We ordered the classics breakfast with soft over easy egg. another friend ordered a Egg Benedict, pancake.
With my breakfast I ordered over easy egg, the came Well done and cold. So I told our server Judy if she could give me another one, Which she did. The sausage has after taste I thought, toast was very light and under done, so I ask my friend how was his sausage and he says the same. Any way we ate them.
The place needs a good clean up in my observation! Floors doesn’t look like it’s been clean for a while as you can see them in the pictures.

The Reason I gave them 3* was the cleanliness, underdone toast and after taste sausage.(maybe old)
But I will recommend this Diner.
