Baa Desi Dine

I had ordered take out from Baa Desi for 40 people for an occasion. The chicken biriyani and mixed veggie bhaji was exceptional. The aloo mash and halwa were fantastic as usual. All our guests enjoyed very much. Thank you Baa Desi Dine. We will keep coming.

Not sure why they call it Biryani, it is more like rice pulao
Butter chicken had pieces of garlic, who puts garlic in BC. Also BC is very pricey and the quantity is very small for the price…

We come here exclusively for their delicious halwa puri, I think it’s the best in the city. Over the past couple years it has always been consistently heavenly. Even after moving to the East end, we still come here for this dish, 10/10 would recommend.

I may not be Pakistani but i know an authentic place when i see one. The butter chicken was rich, the beef Haleem was flavorful as well. We also ordered chicken biriyani and lamb biriyani, both were standard. The portions were good. But the Tadka Daal…. was the best tadka daal I’ve had by far. It was rich and aromatic. Their naan was good as well. The dudhpatti was just satisfying.
The service was okay, the atmosphere was warm and cozy.

Did not like the foods at all. We stopped over for lunch on our way back to Toronto. Samosa was too oily. Kebab that we tried was very difficult to swallow. Lamb & Chicken Biriyani were so so.

NB: washrooms are horrible and seem like non-hygienic.
