Disappointing and dishonest service.

To clarify, I was asking for a small corner table, not a big table. My disappointment comes from the fact that your staff told me that the specific small corner table I requested was unavailable, yet moments later it was given to another group. Providing explanations that are not truthful only further damages trust and makes the experience more disappointing.
Update (after the restaurant’s response):
The response from the restaurant is simply not true.
When we arrived, I first asked for a larger side table and was told no. I then asked for a small corner table (the same size as the table we were eventually seated at). The server told me that the corner tables were “closed.” I also asked about other side tables and was told those were not available either, so we had no choice but to sit in the middle of the dining area.
For context, I specifically asked for a corner or side table because I was wearing a low-cut top and wanted a bit more privacy. This was a reasonable and simple request.
However, when we were leaving, I clearly saw another group dining at the exact corner table I originally asked for. It was obviously not “closed.”
If a table is unavailable, please just say so honestly. Making up reasons and forcing guests into uncomfortable seating is unacceptable. This experience was both disappointing and dishonest.
