Ottawa’s most hidden Gem if you’re a foodie!
The first time I came to this restaurant I was absolutely blown away from the flavour, quantity and service. I’ve come back recently in the New year and it’s still my favourite restaurant!
The owner is awesome and even explained his dishes and the history from back home. I’ve yet to try absolutely everything on the menu but I can tell you the bone broth soup is heaven. The large platters and garlic rice are also heaven on the tastebuds! And I can’t forget about the signature appetizer dish it was one the the best sauces I’ve tasted. Highly recommend especially in large friend groups!

We went on a Friday and the restaurant was fully packed. Good thing we had reservations prior so we were assisted to our table. The owner was very accommodating and made sure we get the best experience possible. The food was great! I was craving of anything Filipino and they served! I ordered the Kamayan package with beef tapa and chicken adobo while my husband got the Inihaw festival package. The corn was perfectly cooked and seasoned as well. They also gave us bulalo soup as a side and it was sooooo good! I think I might be coming back to try that dish. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Lola’s Kitchen. More blessings to this restaurant!

Was here with two of my friends for dinner. For our first time experience it was terrific. We enjoyed the food and the story of Lola’s kitchen. For food we tried some bbq style platters we had chicken spring rolls plus shrimp on the side. The owner is a very good fella he has come a long way wish you nothing but the best I hope you triple the size the restaurant before 2027. Will be back again 100%

Delicious Filipino Feast – A Great Experience at Lola’s Kitchen
I visited Lola’s Kitchen in Ontario (Somerset area) with a friend, and we had an amazing time discovering the flavors of Filipino cuisine.
We ordered the Kamayan platters, which were generous and beautifully presented. The platter included a variety of meats such as chicken adobo, chicken barbecue, and beef barbecue—each one full of flavor and cooked perfectly. There was also fish in a rich coconut-based sauce, which added a delicious, slightly sweet and creamy contrast to the grilled items.
The platters came with plantains, salad, and garlic rice, which was a great touch—fragrant and a perfect pairing with the meats and sauces. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care.
The Kamayan experience made the meal feel festive and authentic. It’s a great spot to visit with friends if you’re looking to share and try a bit of everything. I would definitely go back to try more dishes!

Went twice in one week cause of how good this is! Totally worth getting the platter (specially the inihaw platter). They really got the flavors of a Filipino BBQ, and the touch of vinegar on everything is highly recommended!
The small is small so calling for a reservation would be ideal. Very authentic all throughout and worth going back to. The staff is also very warm and welcoming and they explain the meal which I appreciate.
