Literally so good. I was in thailand like 3 months ago for Christmas and the flavor was spot on. The yellow curry and yuzu lemonade were 10/10, also the vibes are so cozy and hugo was the best waiter, super friendly and always smiling. Definitely coming back πŸ™Œ
Extra tip: try the strawberry shortcake for dessert you will love it.

Ordered on skip Feb 24. TWO dishes and 1 order of Jasmine rice. Tipped the driver 5$. Bill 67$
The portions shrunk , the rice was mushy and sticky. The food was not fresh, the green curry was disappointing, fatty, mushy tofu. The pad ka pow was no better. In a paper container, leaked all over. I’m all for supporting local businesses bit expect a good product for this price

We ate a red curry with rice along with spring rolls and pad knee mao along with some deserts. Everything was tasty and filing and priced modestly.

The location is a lil far from byways market and is a lil cramped but the price, the service and tasty variety of food, deserts and coffee make up for it.

Good food, small space and big heart! Social Thai serves good food in a small space run by the nicest people. Don’t judge the place from the outside. It is tiny with just a few tables. Venture inside for good food. We started with veggie and shrimp eggrolls, crispy and tasty. We had curry for the main course. Spicyness was subtle and potent but not overwhelming. We finished our meals with some delicious pistachio and chocolate pastries. If space and surroundings matter to you, try their take out. We will remember the restaurant as the small place offering good food serve by friendly people. Social Thai on the corner of Bank and Waverley.

Tried this small spot for the first time today.

I was invited to use the electronic kiosk to place my order, which I hate as I’m an old school person who enjoys human interaction.

While ordering what I thought was a pad thai, the very kind staff clarified that I placed an order for a fried rice… so they accepted to just change my order without adjusting the price, which was thoughtful.

What you see in this photo is a seafood pad thai (shrimps, sea scallops and squid). The portion was very generous and it was tasty.

This place also hosts a coffee shop which offers a few items that look delicious. Will give that a try eventually.

Ambiance is not the best, buy still a cute quiet spot for a quick meal or coffee.

Recommended.

We came across this cute little Thai restaurant. No real ambience and all orders are placed through a kiosk. Super fast service though, and food was good. A perfect choice after walking down Bank St. Limited seating but we got a great spot by the window. We ordered the Thai calamari, the Tom, Yum soup, the mixed special pad, Thai, and the Kao pad social Thai– all yummy options. I especially liked the soup.

Cute local spot. We came in to try the supreme croissant and were disappointed unfortunately. It lacked all the best parts of what makes a croissant great i.e. the flaky and the buttery. The filling was also a bit flat. At $8 each, I would expect something a bit heavier or more refined. We also tried the madeleine which was nice. I still scored the Social Thai a solid 4 because of the great service and general appeal of the place which deserves a local following (I wouldn’t be surprised to hear their dishes were good) – I just wouldn’t recommend you make a detour for the supreme croissants.
