Aroma Meze

After reading several great reviews, I decided to take my wife to Aroma Meze for our anniversary dinner. It was an excellent choice. The food was fantastic, the service was even better. It was a great evening overall. The tapas was creative, delicious and beautifully presented.

We discovered upon leaving that they had a second room at the back that looks like a wine cellar, even nicer than the front room.
The prices seem fair and the total bill for the two of us came to $115 plus tip and included wine. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for something special.

This place is good for a date night or a night out with friends where you can share your plates. We would recommend the Beetroot Towers (so good), Ouzo Shrimp, Octapodaki and Lamb Sliders – they were quite tasty. The Tuna Tataki and Fish Tacos were good though we found the fish in the tacos to be a wee bit tiny. Atmosphere wise, a tad dark in the back room where we were seated. We found it very cold. Overall, we did have a good night. Service was amazing!

So good we had to come back! We found this wonderful tapas place for lunch on a busy day of sightseeing. Always a relief to find restaurants that know celiac disease and how to make safe gluten free food – and such a pleasure when 95% of the menu is gluten free!
Lunch: Tuna tataki, Ouzo shrimp, Octapodaki, Kotopulo avgolomeno, Moshari ginger
Dinner: Smoked salmon crisps, Tuna tataki, Ouzo shrimp, Kotopulo avgolomeno, Open face chicken, Moshari ginger, Merguez shakshuka, and Crème brûlée and Chocolate natillas to finish.l
All the plates were amazing flavours, spectacularly presented, especially the flambéed shrimp. Not sure I could pick a favourite dish!
Lunch we sat at the front of the house in the sunny window, dinner at the back “wine cellar”. The ambiance is cozy and both times Zach warmly welcomed us, attentive and so helpful with details about the kitchen’s prep and details.
Will definitely visit next time we’re in town!

The experience here was worth it. We ordered so many items we had left overs to bring home!

Also had the regular pita and most of our meal was made gluten free and it was freaking delicious. The lime raspberry cheesecake was good too!!

I had plans to grab dinner here before even getting to Ottawa as their Octopadaki caught my attention. I absolutely love trying octopus dishes as not everyone gets it cooked just right. So we got Smoked Salmon Crisps, Octopadaki, and Shakshuka. They were quite busy as it was dinner rush but I didn’t mind the wait. I already knew that they were a Tapas place so I anticipated just getting one each or a small serving of the order which is perfect especially if I am looking just to taste something I haven’t had before. Just want to say that this place got the flavors perfect for me, definitely recommend the dishes that I got especially to those who loves the same flavors that I do. The shakshuka was pretty liquidy but the flavor was so on point that I didn’t really mind it. Definitely a place to go back to!

It has been a long time since I’ve been to a restaurant where I have enjoyed absolutely everything about it. I stayed at the Alt, the locations was a perfect little walk (about 7mins). Side mention – neighborhood felt safe to walk at night.
As for the resturantl itself; everything from the service to the food quality, the way it was presented, and the beautiful flavors was a 10! The total experience was amazing. A special mention to the servers you were both fantastic. Highly recommend going here we will definitely be back on our next visit to Ottawa.
