Saffron Kabab Restaurant

Wow. This place makes you feel like a king – literally, as the chairs are like golden thrones !
Visited last Wednesday for lunch with my mother. We got a spot right in front and there are no stairs, so accessible. It was our first time.
We were the first to arrive, staff was slow to notice us, but once things got rolling we are quite well taken care of.
Ordered a lunch for two – there was enough food for four ! Entree soup and a plate of fresh fruit. Roasted meat skewers on rice. All was delicious – the only thing I craved was garlic sauce.
Definitely on our list of great places. We will be back !

I had the pleasure of hosting my friends and family (12 of us) at this cozy and personal Persian restaurant on January 10, 2026. It had so much warmth and a friendly atmosphere – at Saffron Kabab Restaurant on Bank Street, Ottawa. The girls waiting on us and the owner were super attentive and made all of us feel welcome. The food was delicious, great variety, with generous portions. The soup starters were a tasty treat. They even served us our birthday cake that we brought with us and made it special by singing with us and taking pictures for us too. The whole birthday event was a fun and memorable one from start to finish. Best to reserve in advance if you have a group. I would definitely recommend anyone to try this place out.

Had the Saffron special for 2. Came with two ground skewers, a chicken and a filet mignon. Everything was super flavourful and you could definitely taste the charcoal. The grilled tomato was great to mix in with the rice. Next time I would ask for half salad/ half rice. Heard the table beside us ask for that and I wish we were told that was an option.

Friendly service and good lighting inside. Would highly recommend coming here!

We stopped here on our way to Montreal and were genuinely impressed! We ordered the Chef’s Meal for 5, and it was easily enough food for 6 people. Everything was delicious – the lentil soup was hot and comforting, and the portions were super generous. I also loved the unique touch of offering fresh fruit as appetizers. Such a cute, cozy restaurant with exceptional service. Will definitely want to come back next time we are in Ottawa 🤍

Super cute place!!! Staff and owners are extremely friendly and they make you feel right at home. Went for the first time with my family and we really enjoyed it 🙂 The food is very fresh and authentic, for Persian food it is a great go-to spot. Definitely recommend!!!
