The Greek Souvlaki Shack

This is quite literally the best Greek food I have ever had, not just in Ottawa but EVER!!! It is so authentic, flavourful, and filled with love.

From the chicken or lamb platter to the souvlaki wraps, there isn’t a favourite because everything is so well done.

And then the warm welcome every time and being made to feel like family.

You arent doing yourself any favors by not eating here.

My sister and I really enjoyed our Chicken Souvlaki dinners. The salad, rice, potatoes and chicken were all 10/10. I wish I got 2 skewers instead of one. My sister says it was the best chicken souvlaki she’s ever had. I would have to agree 😁

Solid place. Great food, feel like the pork skewers are different from other Greek places, pretty good, and they are passionate about them, lol. Have had the pork, beef, lamb, gyro, all pretty good. Was a go to work-lunch spot for my friend and I. Celiac / gluten-free friendly options. Very yummy!

This is my favorite greek spot in Ottawa. It is family run and the food is always fresh. The quality of the food is amazing. Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely outstanding! I ordered the chicken souvlaki platter and it was pure Greek perfection. The chicken was juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned, the rice was melt in your mouth, the potatoes golden and full of lemony flavour, and the fresh salad crisp and vibrant. The tzatziki was a creamy garlicky heaven!

You can truly taste that everything is homemade and fresh—nothing rushed, nothing generic. Every bite felt like a mini vacation, honestly like being transported straight to the heart of Santorini with the sun on your face and the sea nearby 🇬🇷🌊

If you’re craving authentic Greek food made with love, this place is a must. I’ll be dreaming about that platter until my next visit!

One of my new favourite spots in the city. Its small and cozy inside, the staff are super friendly and welcoming when you come in. The pork gyro is absolutely fantastic with huge portions. I didn’t know so much flavour could be packed onto one plate. Will definitely be back soon.

The Greek Souvlaki Shack is such a gem! It’s a family-run spot and you can really feel the love and care they put into everything. The food is always incredible – full of flavour, generous in size, and cooked with real passion. The service is just as amazing; the team is down to earth, welcoming, and genuinely happy to have you there.

This is by far my favorite Greek spot in Ottawa, and I would recommend it to anyone. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can tell they truly represent Greek culture in the best way possible. I don’t have a single negative thing to say, just great food, great service, and a place that feels run from the heart.
