Roberto’s Corner

I recently had a 4 day trip to Ottawa that started with a stop to Roberto’s. A friend picked me up from the airport and asked what I wanted to eat and I said “give me your best warm, toasty sandwich in Ottawa” and she said “I know just the place.”

The trip also had to end with Roberto’s because the sandwich was everything I wanted and more. I had the Italian trio, twice, because it hit me that hard the first time and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Absolutely worth the stop and I would 1000% rather give my dollars to Roberto than any other sandwich chain in Ottawa. Delicious. Delightful. Hit the damn spot.

Really good food (sandwiches and pastries), very generous with the amount of stuff they put in the sandwich! (They actually put a lot more compared to Subway) and I like their bread better than Subway too! Only thing that sucks a little bit is that you can’t sit anywhere as it’s located in a gas station.⛽️

Two trios and some desserts for about 30$ for two for lunch full and very tasty. Nice little outaa the way but right in the way spot, very convieniant. Bit of a line when i got there but it didnt take long.

Arancini was good – however it was only delivered after I paid and three other customer paid that I received it. If I had known it would have taken so long, I would have just taken it cold and reheated back home.

The sandwich was mid. The bread is average – nothing to write home about. The topping are ok but sloppily put together and sloppily refilled in their bins (it kind of turned me off on getting topping I wanted). Unfortunately, the porchetta was not it and drier and tougher than expected. It did not remind me of Rome… The sandwich makers seemed to prioritize speed over quality.

It had lots of customers…so maybe I just chose the wrong sandwich and the wrong time to go.

Great sandwiches and very friendly staff!! Walked in and there was a long line of customers but it went by quickly – the service is pretty speedy 🙂

Will absolutely be back!

I tried the one sandwich today, nunber #7 and it was really good! The bread was fresh, the ingredients tasted great together, and it was nicely balanced — not too heavy, good combination but filling. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a satisfying and tasty option. Roberto’s Corner is the one.

Tasty sandwiches with lots of options for toppings. Bread and other sandwich ingredients were fresh. However, I was disappointed with the mini lobster pastry. The pastry was soft and chewy, not crispy and flakey like it should be 🙁 I will just stick to sandwiches on future visits.

Oh, it’s inside the Quickie Mart. You have to go inside the Quickie to get to Roberto’s Corner. They don’t have their own separate entrance.
