The mini barrel service ruined two cask strength bottles of whiskey.

They were left in the barrel far too long and went black. I eventually called and arranged for pickup after no contact after dropoff. Completely undrinkable, even with me taking the whiskey out of the barrel immediately once I got home. Pictures for comparison with a standard bottle.

Whiskey was also not returned in the same bottles, which I really was disappointed with. This is important for anything cask strength.

*Edit given owner’s response: review stands as written. Neglect is not the customer’s fault here. In almost every other service where a product is dropped off (ex. Skate sharpening, bike repair, etc.) notification is typically implied to inform the customer that the product is ready.

The aging of the liquor elevates the taste so much and best part is you don’t have to let it sit there for years. Being able to get a variety of sizes and engravings makes it so much more unique and personalized too. Definitely a great gift idea for those who enjoy a nice aged drink with a great flavour.

I’ve ordered multiple barrels from here and I’ve been very happy with the product. Very versatile on what can be done and at a great price !! Just ordered another for Christmas and can’t wait. You can customize a label/image on the barrel as well to give it a personal touch so that’s also super cool. Would definitely recommend for anybody looking for a nice gift for a friend/ family member. Whatever you need, they will get it done and get it done quick.

I had the pleasure of trying a whiskey straight and then the same whiskey after it was aged in these barrels and all I can say is WOW! The flavor profile was enhanced very nicely and gave it a nice smooth finish. I 100% recommend picking up one of these barrels for anyone you know. The experience of any spirit you experiment with these barrels benefit greatly! The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly – tell your friends, tell your family, tell anyone who likes a nice drink – this is one of the best purchases you could make for any loved one!
