Brown Loaf Bakery

We popped in for some baked goods. Lovely, kind staff. The croissant and pecan butter tarts were fantastic! We would recommend and will be back for more on our next visit . They have sour dough bread that looked great as well.

Got a biscotti from Brown Loaf Bakery on Elgin — so good! Perfect crunch, great flavor, and amazing with tea. Super friendly place too. Definitely coming back for more.

My favourite small business to support in Ottawa. They have the BEST pecan butter tarts. Also good lemon squares and sourdough bread. Their buttery croissants are (in my opinion) the freshest in Ottawa. Go in the mornings to get them out of the oven🥰 the owner always greets you with a smile and is so sweet! Ps. Support this business by paying cash or debit! (They also accept credit though!)

I stopped by here yesterday to pick up some pastries and had an amazing experience!… This place makes everything from scratch, and it smells fantastic when you walk in! It reminds me of the small town bakery I used to go to as a kid. We had some scones, brownies, butter tarts (with/without raisins) and some chocolate croissants. While everything was fabulous, I have to give an honourable mention to the chocolate croissant. This place is a gem, and has an amazing history. I look forward to returning! Their history on the wall tells about their long journey to where they are now…
