Canal Ritz

We brought a group of 51 passengers from our bus company to Canal Ritz on February 7, 2026, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The food was exceptional and beautifully prepared.

The staff truly went above and beyond to ensure our large group was seated together and well taken care of. They made every effort to give us a great view, although being there at night meant there wasn’t much to see but the ambiance inside more than made up for it. Seating was a little tight with such a big group, but it was manageable.

A special thank you to Chris, the Manager, who was personable, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure our group’s needs were met. The servers were all excellent: friendly, accommodating, and always offering a smile.

Overall, a fantastic dining experience for our entire group. Highly recommended!

We hadn’t been to Canal Ritz in a while, simply because we normally eat at home. I hadn’t forgotten how positive our experiences have been at the location. We were able to face the Rideau Canal and watch the skaters while having a delicious meal. I hadn’t forgotten the special pasta and my husband had the special pizza. Both were delicious. Portions are generous enough that we were able to take home what we couldn’t eat. We then shared the apple cobbler – and it was yummy. Our waitress Karina was especially pleasant and friendly and knew the menu. I highly recommend Canal Ritz for their delicious food and wonderful atmosphere.

First time here, the service provided by Lauren was top notch. She answered any and all questions. Very pleasant to speak with and she laughed with us making her service over the top & personal. Had the Veal Parma special amazing & seafood Fettuccini. Both served nice and hot not warm and taste was awesome to the pallet. Thank you for a great 1st experience sorry we didn’t have dessert and choose a beavertail ….till next time thank you

Our group wanted a holiday gathering and The Canal Ritz provided a perfect venue . We even had sunshine.

The staff and our server were all courteous, attentive and professional. We were a large group and we were treated with care and attention- a reflection on the skill of the server.

The most important…. my salmon dinner was delicately cooked, covered with a light sauce infused with tarragon. The carrots were perfectly cooked!

Everything was great. Wine a bit overpriced, but still ok. Our server lady was very attentive and friendly. The food was really good and prices made sense. But the best part was being almost on the water with the great view from our table.
