SEOUL MART

Love this place. The Capicola pork and strawberry moon cakes are absolutely delicious. I’m not Korean but I always ask the staff their recommendations with what they would put together for a meal / how they would prepare the food item and they always provide the best food guidance. Will continue to shop here for all my Korean grocery store needs.

I’ve been to Seoul Market several times mainly for the fried chicken. I really like the spicy flavour, but the sweet chili is just way too sweet for my taste. Unfortunately, the chicken is always sold mixed together, so every time I’m forced to buy a flavour I don’t enjoy. I’ve brought it to friends as well, and they also didn’t like the sweet chili for the same reason.

I politely asked if it would be possible to sell the spicy flavour separately, since I remember it being available before. The cashier (a middle-aged woman at the front) replied very quickly with “It comes like that,” in a rather impatient tone. The attitude felt dismissive and a bit rude, especially since it was a reasonable question and suggestion.

I was also asked to go pick up the fried chicken myself, even though I was already holding other items and it wasn’t very convenient. In the past, staff have helped retrieve it from behind the counter, so this felt inconsistent and unnecessary.

I enjoy the food overall, but the customer service this time made the experience uncomfortable. I hope they can consider offering flavours separately and being a bit more considerate and friendly with customers.

Recently moved from an area where there was a pretty big Asian/Korean community with Hmart and Lotte, this store is on the smaller side. For this area, it’s a nice Korean market with various items, food selection, and goods. Very well kept, and nice to chat in Korean with the employees. I took my mom with me and she liked it, she said it had popular Korean brands and very close to where we live.

Great little Asian grocery store with competitive pricing and conveniently located with free parking! The staff are super friendly and helpful too.

It may be small, but it has just about everything. I was happy to find that they even carry things like katsuobushi, which I have yet to find at T&T or Green Fresh.

The positive energy in the store is great. The prices are very reasonable esp since you would be charged more for international products at a big chain supermarket when you could just support a small business. The produce was also very cheap. The people working there were EXTREMELY nice and helpful. I was able to shop in peace and help came exactly when I needed it. As a black person I felt extremely welcomed, safe and at home in this store.

Also, this neighbourhood is nice with beautiful trees and clean streets. This a MUST place to visit this summer. I set up an account with them for points and I will be coming back for their ice cream and gimbap.
