Such wasted potential! They have THE best coffee I’ve ever had, but their service is unbearably slow. We’ve been there four times, twice for food – we waited over an hour, and twice ATTEMPTING to have coffee but gave up. We were there today, we ordered coffee within two minutes of arriving then proceeded to wait for over half an hour. The waiter didn’t come back so we just left. It would be such a great place if they got their act together.

Cannot recommend enough!

The food is fresh and flavourful and the service is wonderful. And the prices are VERY reasonable!

My wife and I go for date nights regularly. Our kids love it too!

Consider trying the special coffee service where they roast the beans in front of you! That coffee is so strong and delicious, but it’ll keep you up!

Authentic vibe and tasty food. Such good spice mixes. The lentil sambusa was delightful and the platters are full of flavour and colours. Definitely come here if you are in the Glebe, or center town of Ottawa. Right off the 417.

This platter was supposedly for 2 people but you can easily feed 4. Well-spiced, comforting and just delicious all-around. The real star for me however was the sambussa – highly recommended!

Staff were so helpful, friendly, and willing to teach me about Ethiopian coffee culture! The food was great and so filling. Great value for the cost. It also felt like a community supporting business.

From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming. The hospitality at this Ethiopian restaurant stood out—the staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. The food was flavorful, beautifully presented, and rich with authentic spices.

One of the most memorable parts of the visit was the traditional coffee ceremony. Though we didn’t speak the same language, the woman preparing the coffee communicated so much through her warmth and smile. There was a shared understanding that transcended words—it felt personal and special.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a soulful, delicious meal and a beautiful cultural experience.

The only small downside was the bathroom—it could use a bit of attention. But it didn’t take away from the overall wonderful experience.

Went there after reading lot of good reviews. There was only one person serving us when we went on 💐 mother’s day. They got bottles drinks, coffee, tea and softdrinks.

We got vegetarian platter. Not
as expected. The dishes weren’t warm and didn’t like the taste of the side dishes. I have tasted Ethiopian before so was expecting something. The spicy powder was good.

They were roasting coffee seeds for fresh brew. The person was kind enough to show it to us. Limited on service and therefore it was slow when we there. There are washrooms in the back. A bit dated place. They have lot of photographs of Ethiopia.
