La Bonita Restaurant

No reservation but they accommodated us on condition we vacated the table within the hour. Fine by us at the time but i would never do this again. The speed of service was almost comical. We hadn’t even looked at our menus when we were asked about our order at least a cpl of times. Not 10 mins in, our main courses were delivered. Our appetizer came soon after (“melted” cheese that was so rubbery I had to cut it with a knife and fork). We were asked countless times thruout our meal how everything was to point of irritation. Bill and machine came soon after. Re the food, tacos with sides were meh. Not worth the $25.50. Friend liked the large burrito. Props to the restaurant for the nice atmosphere, really good cocktails and overall friendly staff.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant, very friendly and helpful staff. The food was amazing! I had the chicken burrito (subbed the rice inside for lettuce) with the beans and toritlla chips and the side.

The portion size was great, and I brought home half to have later. Chicken was very flavourful, and there were lots of onions too. The sauce on top was drool worthy.

Can’t wait to come back!

Hola la Bonita. Thank you for hosting us for dinner this week. We were thoroughly entertained by server Kevin Santiago. We had a lot of fun. Started with margarita, ended with tequila shot. Look at how the drinks are nicely garnished.
Portions are very generous so ensure you come hungry! I regret I couldn’t finish my portion of tomato soup, because we shared the queso appetizer.. mmm. Keep up the great work!

It is a very nice ambiance. you feel like you are in mexico. The service is very good. The food taste is amazing. It is fresh, homemade and clean. Even the drink, I have order pinacolada and it was freshly made not syrup. The food portion is good. The tomato soup was amazing too with cheese and tortilla in it. Yummy

10 out of 10. My favourite Mexican and maybe favourite in general restaurant in Ottawa. It’s an experience with the cool atmosphere, the drinks are so fun, the food wow. The service super warm and friendly (kudos to Kevin) will definitely be coming again

Loved the atmosphere and the decor. Really enjoyed the unique black and white film playing on the wall. We enjoyed the Quesabirria, oh so good with the side of rich broth for dipping. Drinks are visually very appealing and fun to enjoy.
Busy place so I would recommend reservations.
