Pizza Nerds (Centretown)

One of my favorite pizza spots in Ottawa. Definitely recommend to go there and try their signature pizzas. Lovely atmosphere, welcoming and friendly staff, quick service, affordable prices and definitely delicious food.

Very good thin crust (not soggy) pizza you can fold and eat with your hands! We had the Percy (pepperoni, truffle honey) and the Lyon (bacon, red onion, chili basil honey). Quality ingredients made the tasting experience very satisfying – however, the Lyon could have been better prepared as ingredients were not evenly distributed (I tasted only tomato sauce on one slice). The atmosphere was comfortable but extremely noisy due to two large groups – will probably order takeout next time.

We enjoyed three different pizzas. The Lisgar – House Sausage Pizza was my favorite, but the other ones were also packed with flavor.

The crusts were soft and airy with a touch of crispness.

Arguable the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. So good I had to let the owner know. I’ve tried alot in my lifetime and nothing compared to this spot, its in a bracket of its own.

I tried to buy a coffee cup as a reminder of the spot, I know a coffee cup from a pizza joint, but it was a cool cup. But Eric (the owner) or maybe co-owner, gave me one for free.

As a maritimer visiting ottawa on a work trip, I’ve heard of the spot and don’t get me wrong. I understand people have their views on pizza, but this was light, crust was crispy, and it sit well when picking up a slice.

I tried the deluxe I believe, I wanted to stay on the safe side for a first timer, but I’ll definitely be trying more if or when I get the chance to go back.

My favorite pizza in Ottawa is the mushroom pizza. It’s really delicious and I highly recommend it. You must give it a try. Recently, the mushroom pizza has not been as good as before. Maybe the chef has changed or a certain seasoning has been replaced. The mushrooms are particularly watery and the cheese is a little sour. Although the taste has changed, it doesn’t affect the excellent crust at all. This is my favorite place. The environment and decoration are very nice. The space is also quite large. The waiters are always super friendly. Having a drink with friends in the evening and then enjoying a pizza is always the perfect night.
