La Strada Restaurant

went there for someone’s birthday party. atmosphere was strange. Went at 6 PM and it took 70 minutes to get our food even at that one of our guests didn’t get theirs for another 5 minutes. Everything felt very slow and long. waiting for cutlery that they forgot to hand out was also time consuming. Near the end of the main meal they started taking away plates of people who were still eating (and by eating I meant mid bite) it felt rushed even though the wait was not our fault. food was ok nothing to write home about. We all felt unwanted. This is a small review of my let’s just say interesting experience there.

So Last night was my first time at La Strada on Bank st in Ottawa. It was Amazing! The food, the service, & the atmosphere was top notch! I will definitely be back soon!
I got the veal parm and would highly recommend!

The most exquisite Italian dining cuisine I have tried so far in Ottawa. It is a nice place to visit to catch up with friends over a good wholesome meal.
Seating is by reservation only and this place books up fast.

Wonderful restaurant! We went for dinner on a Wednesday night and my date was right about needing reservations, the place was packed and with good reason! The service was stellar despite the crowd and the food was excellent. We shared the zucchini sticks, which we’ve tried at many places, and these are hands down the favourites! I had the lobster ravioli which was rich and flavourful and the limoncello tartufo, definitely the best lemon ice cream I’ve ever had, fresh and bright flavour. Highly recommend!

Food was fantastic. Had the veal chop Parmigiana with side pasta with a homemade Rosé sauce. Had a taste of my friend’s lamb and that was equally delicious. I even wanted to steal the peppercorn grinder because even the pepper was that fresh. Although it was a full house and a little louder than I like it, this resto is 100% worth the visit.
