The main dish with the soup boiling in the pot is absolutely delicious. The ramen noodles are incredibly fresh with a beautiful texture. I’ve already been three times and will definitely be back — highly recommend.

However, the dish with garlic and black sesame seeds was not good at all. Something about the soup was off, very off, and it really didn’t work for me.

BEST RAMEN IN OTTAWA!! I got the spicy red miso and it was sooo flavourful and delicious. My friend got the roasted garlic shoyu and it was also amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful in picking which ramen to get. Would absolutely recommend and will be coming back to try everything on the menu!!

Beautiful tasting tuskemen with the karage, we also ordered the spicy miso which was good but not as great as tsukemen. If you’re in the area this is definitely worth the stop, hoping it expands to more areas in Ottawa. Excellent service to boot, thank you!!!

One of the best Japanese ramen in Ottawa. The shio ramen soup booth is rich and the chicken soup booth is clean and delicious. The okonomiyaki is good and the matcha red bean shaved ice is nice.

I had the Assari Light Shoyu. The broth was by far the best part, it was perfectly salty without any visible oil on top, resulting in a nicely emulsified and smooth broth. It still had a deep and slightly nutty flavour while being light enough to drink afterwards.
I liked the marinated egg, it was slightly sweet and the yolk was jammy, paired really well with the broth. The noodles were firm enough while still being bouncy, good mouth feel. A good topping of green onions, lots of places skimp on that so I was pleasantly surprised. I think the dried shrimp/shellfish? topping did not achieve it’s desired effect. It felt more grainy like sand instead of being flaky/crispy, maybe that’s just because it was soaking in the broth, not a big deal.
My only real complaint is that the cha siu is too salty to the point of overpowering the deeper and more subtle flavours of the dish. Ramen broth is usually salty enough as it is.

9/10 overall 😀
