Explosion persian style

I literally drove from Montreal to Ottawa just to eat at Explosion — and yes, it was 100% worth it.

The pizza and sandwiches are on another level. Fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and that kind of taste you don’t forget after the last bite. This isn’t “good fast food” — this is food you plan a trip around.

Every bite felt intentional, satisfying, and honestly joyful. You can tell they care about what they’re serving. No shortcuts, no bland nonsense.

If you’re anywhere near Ottawa and you don’t try Explosion, you’re doing yourself a disservice.
And if you’re far away? Trust me — it’s still worth the drive.

One of the best Persian Fast Food Restaurants I’ve tried in Ottawa! The food was incredibly delicious with those truly nostalgic Iranian flavors that take you right back home. Every dish was rich, fresh, and full of authentic taste. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service was great as well.

If you’re craving real Persian food, this place is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

In a recent visit ro Ottawa, we visited this restaurant. The food was delicious. We loved it. Our order had a pizza, a Bandari sandwish, and a grilled chicken sandwich. We loved them all.

Absolutely incredible! The Persian-style sandwiches here are an explosion of flavor in every bite. Fresh bread, perfectly seasoned fillings, and generous portions make it a true standout. The mix of spices and textures is unlike anything else—you can really taste the authenticity and love put into every sandwich. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a bold and unforgettable food experience!

The Persian-style pizza took me back to those homemade pizzas Mom would make for us. The Tongue Warm Sub was also tasty and satisfying, but honestly, I would have appreciated it if there had been more tongue meat in the sandwich, though. A bit pricey, but the food was honestly enjoyable — so I think it’s worth giving it a try.

I’ve been told that they also accept personal advance orders for special Persian dishes, including stews and specialties like Albaloo Polo and Zereshk Polo.

I think the pizza and burgers are probably amazing. But we didn’t try it because we wanted to eat closer to Persian over americanized food i can get anywhere.

The tongue/brain sandwich is very good. The ground beef sandwich is boring honestly and underseasoned.

I won’t come back because the sandwich is overpriced and the toppings and sandwich is simple for the price

However I gave it 4 stars because it’s worth trying it’s unique
