Wang’s Noodle House

A small restaurant inside the Byward Market. Not terribly busy and ordered some wonton soup with vegetables. Took a tad longer for the food and although serving size seemed generous, the flavours were not quite there. Surprised by the high star ratings of this place. A quick look at their cooking and prep area seem like it could use a bit more cleaning and tidying up.
My experience and value for money does not make a return visit likely.
Hope they can improve the hygiene in the food prep area.

I have been coming here for years and always mean to leave a review and then forget. The food is incredible, super fairly priced and made super quickly. The service is always kind and efficient, i really can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re in ottawa and don’t come to Wangs you are missing out. Some of the best food in byward!

Street food. Not bad. Boba tea drink was a little too sweet. Perfect wonton soup and fried chicken wings.

Excellent freshly made noodles. I saw the chef making them right there but still didn’t take long to serve. Great seasoning, good price, quick, fresh, tasty 😋

BBQ chicken are a real gem, I can’t resist having them over and over. The dry noodles with udon offer a fantastic texture, leaning towards a sweet overall flavor. I wouldn’t recommend the soup noodles; the broth is almost tasteless. All in all, the BBQ chicken thighs take the crown.
