The Grand Pizzeria & Bar – Westboro Beach

Beautiful scenery,reasonable prices with delicious food,it doesn’t get better. The gondola experience was very nice and the sun shining in while looking out onto the water was gorgeous. If you’re gluten free you will be so happy with the food options. Jack was our server and was so pleasant and helpful! We will definitely be back!

We recently joined another couple for dinner in one of the private gondolas at The Grand’s Westboro Beach location, and it was an unforgettable evening!

The cozy, heated enclosures with stunning views of the Ottawa River and the cross country skiers going by made it feel like a winter wonderland right in the city. We loved the wood fired pizza and the pasta dishes were rich and flavourful. Despite the cold that night, the service to our gondola was attentive without being intrusive, and the whole setup made for a fun, intimate dinner.

Just a heads up for anyone booking: there’s a $25 per person seating fee for the evening gondola experience (food and drinks are extra; seating fee not not apply if you eat inside), but it’s totally worth it for the unique vibe. Highly recommend for a special night out!

What can I say for Grand.
Very beautiful place, with amazing view. I can’t even describe sunset over the river you have to experience to see that.
If you are more adventures they have outside small chairlift where you can sit in them and have a nice romantic or not dinner.
Atmosphere is amazing. Place is pretty busy. For the food we order pizza as per recommendation of our friends and I was not really excited. I love thin pizza and fire wood Owen, but our pizza came mild not even hot. More toward colder side. We eat it because we are hungry and colder pizza is good snack.😄 Don’t get me wrong it was good even colder.
If you want to order some cocktails they are $16 each, bit pricy but nice.
Overall everything was good even our server was amazing.
Reason why I am giving 4 stars for food is because of colder pizza, everything else was great.

I had an excellent experience at The Grand Pizzeria & Bar at Westboro Beach. The waterfront location is stunning and creates a perfect atmosphere, especially with the view of the river. The food was delicious, particularly the pizza, and everything we ordered was well prepared and full of flavour. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The space itself is beautiful and vibrant, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it.

We visited the **newly opened Grand Pizzeria & Bar – Westboro Beach** during the winter, and despite the off-season, it was a pleasant evening with a few understandable opening hiccups. Since the restaurant is already getting busy, we made a reservation for four — something I *highly recommend* for evening dining.

Our server, **Rene**, was absolutely wonderful. She was warm, attentive, and took the time to chat with us, making the experience feel personal and welcoming. Her service was easily the highlight of our visit.

Our food was **okay**. We ordered pasta and hamburgers, and while the dishes were fine, they didn’t particularly stand out. With the restaurant being so new, we expect the kitchen will continue to improve as they settle in.

Overall, The Grand Pizzeria & Bar has a great atmosphere, excellent staff, and lots of potential. With a few tweaks, it could become a fantastic spot. We’d return, especially thanks to Rene’s great service, and we’re looking forward to seeing how the restaurant evolves as it gets more established.
