THE ALBION ROOMS RESTAURANT

We were staying at the Double Tree so we decided to go and see what the restaurant had to offer, 2 adults 3 kids Saturday night, pretty quiet. Not really a Kid friendly menu and thats understandable. We decided to start with the 40$ charcuterie board and 22$ Bison Croquettes (2 golf balls), a pint, glass of wine and 3 juices. The staff was very nice even though our kids were able to spill 2 glasses in a 15min span. But the food was so underwhelming we didnt order any mains and left with a 100$ check…

The Albion Rooms Resturant is a nice designated space inside the Hilton Ottawa Downtown location! The resturant’s ambiance is beautifully done. Love the big windows! They had a nice Happy Hour Menu that they were happy to adjust the cocktails to, while still honouring the happy hour price. The service was a tad slow as it wasn’t really busy at the time we went but overall, a nice little spot to enjoy

I always appreciate a lobby restaurant on work trips for the simplicity and ease of getting food after work on trips, but this restaurant serves up phenomenal flavour. I’m consistently suprised by a new menu and exotic flavours everytime I stay in town. The chef here really knows how to serve it up and I am pleasantly surprised.

Located in the Doubletree by Hilton, formerly the Novotel across from the CF Rideau mall.
Both stand up and sit down seating available. Not terribly busy. Set menu was decent price with friendly and attentive staff. Portion be are just right.
Caters to more business and travel crowd clients of the hotel.
A nice place to get away from the crowd.

Had a fantastic meal at Albion Rooms! I ordered the crab cakes and crudités—both were absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavour. The service was first rate—attentive without being overbearing—and the cozy atmosphere made the whole experience even better. A real gem. Would definitely recommend!
