Sweet Puspin

I’m so excited to have discovered this new Filipino dessert spot in the ByWard Market! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is absolutely adorable! The couple that owns it are so warm, inviting, and they have such a cute space to grab a sweet treat while downtown.

What really stands out is how creative their menu is. They beautifully blend traditional Filipino flavors with fresh, modern dessert ideas. The ube creations are incredible and their ice cream sandwiches are next-level good. You can really taste the love and innovation behind each item.

I also love how they’re doing creative collaborations and bringing something new to Ottawa’s dessert scene while still honoring Filipino traditions. It feels both nostalgic and exciting at the same time.

Highly, highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area. Whether you’re familiar with Filipino desserts or trying them for the first time, this spot is a must-visit in the Market! 🍨💜

Amazing place! The halo halo (dessert with purple ice cream) tasted so good and reminded me of home 🙂 The workers were also so sweet and offered a sample of what seemed like a delicious ube butter mochi square while I was waiting for my order. Would highly recommend!

The nicest people ever and the food was delicious! We were unfamiliar with a couple of the Filipino desserts and they gave us samples to try and explained them all. She also gave us a free bottle of chamoy (so unnecessarily kind). Will definitely be coming back!

Amazing flavours and such friendly and warm owners! What a gem in the heart of the Byward Market. We thoroughly enjoyed our Halo Halos (Pandan, Ube, and Mais)!

This was my first time trying Filipino desserts, and I’m in love! 💚 We had the green shake, but we also tried the mango shake, and the coffee shake — and let me tell you, the green one was absolutely out of this world! Probably one of the most delicious things I’ve ever had (and I love sugar 😋). The coffee shake is a safe bet, but I highly recommend the green one. I do have one suggestion, I think it would be better for them to get the larger straws like the ones in bubble tea shops, we had to open the cup to take the jelly out of it.

I also tried the Raffaello cookie, perfect texture, not too sweet and very flavourful. The person working there was super sweet and welcoming, and we got to sit and enjoy our desserts after lunch. 10/10!
