SUNRICE SUSHI

Service is wonderful, and the food is reasonably priced. The sushi rolls are super fresh and they are huge!! I ordered a set of 8, and I was only able to finish 4! I should note that I did have those 4 rolls with 5 pieces shrimp tempera. The ONLY reason I’m giving 4 star is because I found the tempera to be very greasy. Not only that, I found the amount of batter on the shrimp pieces far exceeded the actual meat of the shrimp. I ended
Up, taking off most of the batter and just eating the shrimp. Could’ve just been an off day though. Regardless, I would still recommend this place for anything to do with sushi

Sushi was incredibly mid. I love sushi and I was hopeful due to the good reviews. However the avocado was browning, the lemon used in presenting was clearly rotten. Scales/skin present on the nigri. When youre eating raw food the last thing you want to see is a lax approach to food being served. Service was slow and unhelpful despite no one else in the restaurant. Environment was quiet. But uncomfortably so, no background noise or anything. Wouldn’t go back.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant several times and the food is usually good but I felt the need to leave this review because my takeout experience was so bad. The avocado that they used was completely overripe and on the verge of rotting. I don’t think it’s acceptable to serve avocado rolls (where avocado is meant to be the star of the dish) that look like this. It’s completely unappetizing. My partner picked up the order as soon as it was ready so i know that this wasn’t just browning from sitting out. The avocado in the avocado-cucumber roll was likewise inedible. Extremely frustrating.

Great value, delicious food and friendly staff!

This is one of my go-to Sushi restaurant in Ottawa and a must try for those looking to have good sushi without breaking their bank account!

It is a mod-tier Japanese restaurant that serves fresh sashimi and other Japanese dishes at great value. The fish are fresh, the portions are generous and the taste is delicious for its price. Staff were also friendly and accommodating!

my cousin brought me here while I was visiting Ottawa and this small sushi spot is definitely a hidden gem asian spot in the city!
There were 4 of us and we shared a bunch of rolls – the prices are incredibly fair and all rolls were made fresh within minutes of them arriving at the table.
the oshizushi came in pieces of 6 and were delicious. the flavour was full and exactly what you need for a good salmon. the crouching tiger roll was massive, but such a good bite!! anything mango wins for me, but a different crab or a more seasoned piece would have elevated this roll.
