Student Tasty Biryani by Otaaq Cuisine

I had an order with them via Too Good To Go app. When I tried to pick up, a staff told me the restaurant is no longer dealing business with Too Good To Go. The store’s management is unprofessional while they could have updated every portal they have advertised on. Such arrangement caused extra inconvenience to me, wasting my time to go there and my money that paid on the food that is not received! They neither gave any kind of compensation to me. By simply telling me to talk to Too Good To Go, they were very irresponsible to their customers!

Moreover, the staff barely understood English. With a very strong Indian accent, I found difficult communicating. He had to call his manager in real time to talk with me. How ridiculous it was! Plus a strong smell in the store, I wouldn’t visit again!

Its a take out place and they have a few seats available but its not a dine in place. We got lamb Paya, Bombay dum biryani and samosas. The biryani was finger licking good plus the portion was huge given it filled up a guy like me. Paya was really nice and samosas were awesome too. This is a great takeout place and I wouldn’t want it any other way. What they lack in sitting space they make up with price and portion size. Really a gem in the heart of Downtown Ottawa. Customer service was really nice as well. This is now my regular biryani spot in the city :-).

The restaurant is very very small cannot seat more than 6 to 7 people so takeout is a better option. They don’t even have plates or cutlery to serve the food properly and they serve it in takeout boxes.

The food was okay. Their portion size is really good however I found that the biryani was nothing extraordinary. It was good but I’ve had better. Overall it’s a good halal option. We tried only the biryani so can’t say much about anything else but I feel like they are serving good food at a good price.

The food is so rich in taste, always fresh and sizzling hot. Everything I come here I’ve been disappointed and always my money’s worth. Also, Rahul is always very nice and caring about the customers

We were visiting Ottawa from Texas and found this business offering great desi Pakistani varieties. Tried couple of biryanis and desserts and loved it. This business 4 locations across Canada. Would definitely try again. Highly recommend.

Tried a few biryanis, but they just felt like curry tossed into biryani rice—calling butter chicken on rice “Shahi Biryani” is a stretch.

The place itself didn’t help either—looked unhygienic and had an overpowering smell of phenyl. Not exactly appetizing. The only saving grace? The samosa. It was decent, but that’s about it.
Service was okay, but the overall cleanliness and food quality was off.
