Dinner is delicious. Outstanding for brunch. Very good quality for the price. Tasty and very well presented. Pancakes offer generous helping. Shakshouka is perfect. Morning Peck breakfast recommended. Attentive and skillful staff. Drinks, both alcoholic and non are tasty. Bartender will suggest excellent cocktails based on taste preferences. Recommend!

Went there for a bruch with some
girlfriends.

The food is Cora-basic but more expensive. (not worth the price tbh.)

The fruits were unfortunately stale and we were among the first guests of the day.

Drinks were pretty good!

The atmosphere was lovely though!! Decorations are quirky and cute.

The service was mediocre. We waited for the host to come out after standing for quite some time.

I wouldn’t say it would be worth returning unfortunately.

I’ve always had a great time at Starling and have celebrated multiple birthdays here over the years. The food is consistently delicious, the drinks are just as good, and the atmosphere makes it a great spot for both special occasions and casual nights out. Service has always been solid, and everything feels thoughtfully done. I definitely recommend making a reservation on weekends, as it tends to get busy.

From start to finish this cozy place was awesome! We were able to sit at a the bird cage table which was super cute! Sarah B was our server and she was fantastic!
We ordered the french onion soup, buttermilk pancakes and the eggs benedict with salmon. Everything was mouthwatering! Three of us ordered the Dealer Choice drink option and Ty the bar tender did not disappoint!

Kate and the team at Starling were incredible with preparing for, and executing our wedding. Their already beautifully decorated space was perfect for our 60ish person wedding. The food (which was most important to us) was a huge hit and got rave reviews. Everyone from the hostesses to the bar staff, servers, chefs and Kate herself were incredible. They accommodated dietary restrictions perfectly. Everything flowed so smoothly and provided a seamless experience for guests and ourselves. Everybody who came told us how perfect it all was! They also had some decor on hand for us to use (free of charge). Their venue fees and pricing are very reasonable in the Ottawa wedding market.
