BUGS IN THE FOOD!!!
Literally a bug crawled out of my plate as I was eating! Absolutely disgusting!!!! Then I lookd at the food itself and found multiple dead ones!

NEVER EAT HERE!!!!! UNSANITARY!!!!

I can’t even explain how sick and upset my stomach is!!!

Recently moved to Ottawa and wanted to try a new shawarma spot. I heard about this spot from my colleagues and decided to give it a try. I usually go to new king shawarma (not king shawarma) which is also on bank street which has set the bar for me. I ordered the chicken platter here and found the chicken to be super dry and burnt. Portions were good. The service was super friendly and I don’t have any complaints about that. The restaurant was notably clean although there were a few homeless seated inside which made me uncomfortable. I didn’t really enjoy the food or find it anything special but don’t want that to be conflated with the friendly service that I received.

I love this place with my whole heart. I’ve been coming here for years, the staff is always super friendly and they always do me right! Never had a bad experience, everything always tastes great. Absolutely favorite shawarma spot in Ottawa!

Super fast through ubereats too, my order was delivered within 15 minutes of placing it!

I don’t leave reviews too often, but this one felt warranted. Unfortunately, most of the chicken was very dry — and I mean borderline jerky dry for a good bunch — which is the main reason I’m writing this.

I used to work a few doors down and remember the chicken and falafel sandwiches being fairly good (not life-changing, but solid), so I was genuinely looking forward to this meal. That made tonight’s order a bit of a letdown.

On the positive side: the salad veggies were fresh, the spicy garlic sauce is tasty, and the potatoes had good flavour… they just needed a little more crisp to get there. The hummus was fine, but nothing memorable.

Overall, I was pretty disappointed this time around, especially given better experiences in the past. Hopefully this was just an off night.

Spicy shawarma, I had the #1 comb with beef. Halal food, clean and friendly environment. I would recommend this place to anyone. Under $20 for an excellent meal.
