Seau de Crabe Restaurant (Ottawa)

Went here for dinner and had a really good experience overall! The seafood was incredibly fresh — you could genuinely taste the quality.

We ordered the Winter Bucket. The fried items came out first — calamari and shrimp — and they were absolutely mouth-watering. Perfectly crispy, light, and not greasy at all. So good!

Then came the lobster and crab (also included in the bucket), and they were just as impressive. The meat was tender, flavorful, and clearly made fresh. Simple, fresh, and done right.

Portion-wise, it’s not a huge quantity for the price, but since it’s lobster, you expect it to be on the higher side.

And I have to mention — the person serving us was this incredible kid, super nice and genuinely warm. Made the whole experience even better.

Overall, a very satisfying dinner with fresh, quality seafood.

Everything about this place was amazing. Atmosphere got 4 stars because the bathrooms could use more toiletries. Considering you making a total mess of yourself (that was the fun part) you need to be able to clean yourself up and it was crazy buzy, Valentines Day,, and there was deffinitly not enough soap or paper towels OR toilet paper in the bathrooms to accomidate the mess. I would deffinitly eat here again but will bring my own wet naps next time lol

​⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Skeptics turned Believers! The Perfect Birthday Lunch
​I have to admit, I was a little skeptical when my daughter chose Seau de Crabe for her birthday lunch, but wow—was I wrong! This place absolutely did not disappoint. From the food to the service and atmosphere, everything was amazing.
​We started with appetizers: calamari, fries, and breaded shrimp. Everything was cooked perfectly with absolutely no complaints.
​But the real star was the Seafood Boil. Since that was the whole point of the visit, we went all in with Lobster, Mussels, Shrimp, Corn, Rice, and Potatoes in our bags. We chose the Cajun flavor—we cranked ours up to HOT, and our daughter went with MEDIUM. Let me tell you, this might be the best food and dining experience I’ve had in a long time. It was absolutely scrumptious!
​Last but definitely not least, we have to give a huge shout-out to our server, Anelia. Since we were first-timers, she was incredibly kind and walked us through the whole process. She was accommodating, helped capture some great photos of us, and made my daughter’s birthday extra special with lava cake, ice cream, and a song! Anelia is a true keeper.
​We are already planning another trip to the city just to come back here.

The food was great. Would have loved a bit more heat on the spice level but the Family Bucket hit the spot for this family. Lobster was tender. Crab was juicy. And it was a fun experience. The service was AMAZING!!! Sarah and Ayrad were fantastic. They were very attentive. It was hospitality and experience not just great service. Love getting service on that level.

The food was absolutely amazing — full of flavor, perfectly crispy, and served hot. It wasn’t overly salty, which we really appreciated. Rana provided exceptional service — she was friendly, attentive, and very courteous throughout our visit. We’ll definitely be coming back!

One small downside: the smell of seafood outdoors attracted some flies, so we chose to dine inside. I’d recommend they consider installing fly-repellent devices outside to improve the experience for outdoor diners.
