Sansotei Ramen

Delish bowl of ramen, would come back for sure.

The gyoza could use a tad more frying for more of a crisp bite, but otherwise everything is usually very appetizing here!

I didn’t notice the intense smell of disinfectant that several others have mentioned.

Really enjoyed this place. The food is tasty, prices are fair, and the service is always quick and friendly. It’s also nice that the tables are spaced out, so it doesn’t feel crowded like some places on Bank Street. Overall, a comfortable spot I’d happily recommend.

I want to start off by saying that we have been going to Sansotei for ages now and it is by far our favourite place to get a bowl of Ramen.

However, I want to echo what Colby Chang said below about the cleaning products they (as a chain) use for both tables and dishes. The fragrance is too strong and distracts from the dining experience. For me, when I think of their ramen I always smell their cleaning products (think mall Bathroom). I would suggest they look at the Unscented company (they are Canadian) and you can buy their products online at Costco.

Service has always been great and the ramen is the best in the city so if they can switch out their cleaning products then I think easily a 5 star!

And while we are at it.. my other top suggestions for them
– Please consider reverting back to the old Gyudon recipe. The new one needs more flavour development with undercooked unions and stringy beef
– Would be nice there if the Zangi included a spicy mayo for dipping

I was really disappointed. The cleaning chemical smell was extremely strong after tables were wiped and it lingered in the dining area, overpowering the ramen aroma and ruining the overall atmosphere.

More importantly, I observed a server clearing used bowls/plates and then immediately delivering food to another table without sanitizing or washing their hands in between. That’s a serious hygiene concern and made me feel unsafe eating here.

Until the restaurant improves ventilation/uses a low-odor cleaner and enforces proper hand hygiene, I can’t recommend it.

I had the chicken ramen here and loved it! The soup was super delicious, the egg and chicken were cooked to perfection. Will go back here for the same dish again & again, thanks for serving!
