Rooftop Ottawa

Great view and even better food!! Had the Salmon Avocado toast and my partner had the Starling Sandwich. The citrice and capers. cut the heaviness of the salmon and avocado perfectly! Would totally recommend this place to anyone visiting Ottawa.

The service was, interesting. The girls (2) were very friendly to your face but commented – so loud and obnoxiously – about every customer and their interaction. Childish, vindictive and horrible commentary. It wasn’t even if the respective customer(s) said anything that would be douchey or untoward.

Their behaviour was pretty awful lol – to the extent it needed to be reflected in a review. Like come on guys, don’t be douchebags.

If you’re in the area and looking for a fabulous view and amazing food, don’t think twice. My boyfriend and I were second guessing our choice of reservation but gosh were we glad we went through with Rooftop. The best pasta ever, amazing views, not overly busy, and not over the top Ottawa pricing. Thank you!

Great place for a pre-dinner drink or afternoon cocktail. There’s a very good selection at reasonable prices, from bar rail to premium. Service is attentive, knowledgeable,and friendly.

Google threw us this place as an option when we were looking for patios on vacation, appréhensive because of the amount of views we took a chance because it was on top of Starling which has a great reputation. To our surprise at 3pm on a Wednesday we were the only table and had the whole bar service to oirselves. Joey was our bar tender and was very helpful, informative, and very consistent. We ordered the house made forcicca as a starter which exceeded our expectations. For mains we ordered the Starling Burger and the Warm Beef Salad which also As you can see by the photos these options did NOT dissapoint. Super recommandéd to try if your in the area just be advised they don’t have happy hour on the roof (which is something they really need to discuss with management IMO) BUT all in all it was a fantastic experience. 10/10 would recommend
