Portugalos Restaurant Gatineau

So impressed. Grilled sardines, mussels piri piri, grilled octopus, sea bass, lamb shanks, everything seasoned and cooked to perfection. Service was joyful and efficient. I wish we lived closer!

The restaurant was a little warm, empty and silent. The prices are okay, and the food was well served. The food took too long to come (about 40 minutes). I ordered the barbecue meal, and it was very well served (it could serve 4 people). The food needed a little bit more of salt, but it was okay. My rating for the meal is 6.75 (7.5 for the protein, 6.5 for the fries and 6 for the salad). It costed 60 bucks. The beer is well served, but I ordered a coke and it came mild. In conclusion, I give the restaurant a 3.5 out of 5.

We ordered the “misto de carnes for two”, and it came with fries and a really tasty salad. The chicken was okay -not amazing- but everything else was fantastic. We also tried the “caldo verde” (not in the photos), which was great. My kids absolutely loved it.

We ordered the Biffana for pickup, so didn’t have the chance to experience the atmosphere, but during pick up it looked like a welcoming location. Our waiter was great and the food was hot when we picked it up. When at home eating it, the sandwich was great and the fries were also great. Can’t wait to return to try the Chicken sandwich.

Delicious restaurant with great service. Very European! We tried almost everything on the menu and desserts, the meat and sea food is cooked perfectly and very flavourful, delicious soup, good croquettes. We liked everything. Fresh ingredients and good flavor. Restaurant was clean and charming. House wine was good. The tarte Portuguese was so creamy, better than Portugal !🇵🇹
