Pelicana Chicken (Ottawa)

Warmly greeted. Very kind lady asked if it was my first visit and since it was offered me a sample taste of each sauce for the chicken which was very helpful in making my choice.

The bone in chicken was one of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had.
Shattering crispy outside, and juicy,moist inside. Extremely flavorful even without the sauce which I asked for on the side.

Chicken comes with pickled radish which was fresh and crunchy. Very refreshing in between bites of rich chicken!

First time trying this place and so happy I did. Amazing Korean fried chicken! Got the hot spicy and hot devil, both very spicy and so good!! Deep seaweed rolls were great too. Hoping to try the snowy fries next time when they are available again!

Seriously 10/10! I had takeout for the second day in a row here! It’s too good! I literally see it in my dreams! Like at first I was almost held back by the price since it’s $20.99 for the medium Snowing Cheese, but wow is this delicious and so worth it! The Snowing Cheese chicken was to die for! It’s so crispy, juicy, and still tastes cheesyyy! Same with the fries! They were so generous with the Snowing Cheese as well! I just love this place! I will keep coming back!

The Pelicana Chicken staff are also so delightful as they greet you and hand you your food with a smile. They definitely made this experience more memorable, and the food made it unforgettable!

So happy to see they have Halal certification now! Got the spicy boneless and it was so juicy and good! The fried rice cakes were so yummy too.

Pelicana Chicken is hands-down the most authentic Korean fried chicken I’ve had outside of Korea. As a Korean myself, I can say this place nails it—the chicken is unbelievably crispy, with a light, golden batter that stays crunchy without being greasy. Every bite feels like it came straight from a chicken joint in Seoul. The sauces are next-level too. It’s perfectly balanced with sweet and spicy heat.
The store is super clean and is family-owned by the nicest Korean couple! They weren’t shy to keep me company when waiting for my food (which was very brief).
If you’re craving real Korean chicken, this place delivers every time. Will be coming back every time I visit Ottawa!! 10/10
