Onua Bakery & Cafe

Hands down the best bakery/cafe in the area. Workers are always friendly and make great coffee. Their cinnamon bun and cortado are my favourite, but all other items that I’ve tried are also excellent.

I’m always on the hunt for a great matcha latte and a perfect croissant, and Onua Bakery seriously delivered. This locally owned bakery and cafe has one of the best matcha lattes and butter croissants I’ve had — rich, smooth, and full of flavor. Everything I tried tasted incredibly fresh and thoughtfully made.

They also have a great variety of pastries, breads, and some really unique African-inspired baked goods that you can’t find anywhere else in Ottawa. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it’s a great spot to relax or catch up with a friend.

If you love good coffee, amazing baked goods, and a cozy vibe, this place is absolutely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Meat pies were excellent! I tried the chicken and it was so fresh and flavourful. Comes at a great price too (I believe around 3-4 dollars). The coffee was great quality and the atmosphere was very calm and beautiful. I am excited to come back and try more baked goods. Great place to catch up with friends or read a book and relax 🙂

I ordered a flat white with lactose free milk to have inside. This coffee was nearly $8. The coffee itself was fine, not $8 worth especially since it wasnt filled all the way. I felt so awkward about asking for more milk. Atmosphere was nice, baked items looked good. May come back for that but iffy on giving it another shot with an espresso drink. Id appreciate more attention to detail.

Nothing but good things to say. Got to try it through too good to go but everything looked so good when I walked in, decided to seat in for a quick lunch. Got the egg and bacon sandwich -5/5, meat pie (3.5/5 could use some more sauce in the filling) and croissants 5/5 for the pistachio and caramel?? Wasn’t too sweet, cream was delightful. Cookies were good too and the bread tasted fresh… all in all, would return
