Moe’s BBQ

This place was amazing, it was just shy of a 5-star for me. The burned ends poutine was amazing, from the fries to the gravy to the meat itself. Brisket was lovely and tender. I also really liked the pulled beef!

The mac n cheese was nice and creamy, cheesy, and had a nice texture, but lacked a bit of flavour. The chicken was okay, maybe a 6/10. The ribs were flavourful and honestly would be a 9/10 if they were a little more tender. It was a little chewy due to the membrane on the beef rib skin. The cornbread was very spongy, extremely dry, and lacked sweetness.

Overall, a good time, the atmosphere was great, and the service was top-notch!

Ordered smoked brisket with mac & cheese and BBQ rice – it was a solid 7.5/10. Brisket was tender and had some nice fat rendered out, but I got lucky since my brother’s was dry and overcooked. The mac was decent with a good amount of cheese but a little heavy and undercooked. BBQ rice was a little bland but some salt did the trick. Came with BBQ sauce that’s probably store bought (it was good though). Service was great, the guy at the front was efficient, but food took almost 40 minutes to be ready. Overall, I’d recommend the place but won’t come here a second time.

There is something beautiful about having high quality BBQ being HALAL & designed like a proper smokehouse.

Unfortunately, I did not take great pictures because I was too busy digging into the food because it was that good.

I was in Ottawa for five days and ended up eating here two nights in a row just because of how good it is I would highly recommend the brisket or sample platter with some extra BBQ.

I saw a yummy post about moes bbq and I just had to try it lol. Got some brisket and brisket quesadilla and their rice to go. The rice with meat was our favourite. Brisket was juicy but it was a bit bland for our family. We had to smother some sauce on it and hot sauce too. If anything, the quesadilla had more flavor to it. Either way, was a good change from the Orleans food scene but I think I may still be in search of better southern bbq in Ottawa.

I really enjoyed the brisket and ribs, though the pulled beef wasn’t quite to my taste. The BBQ rice felt more like steamed rice with butter; decent, but nothing special with the meat combination. The mac and cheese was a bit too salty. Later, we ordered the burnt ends and fries. The fries weren’t crispy, but the burnt ends were good, just wished for less sweet.

Overall, we really enjoyed the meat, but the sides could use some improvement. The staff lady who served us was amiable and professional, and the ambiance had a perfect BBQ vibe.
