Really good ramen spot. The broth was flavorful, I personally preferred the soy sauce base with the pork option. (Other base options were not tasty, personally) For those who don’t eat pork, they also have a chicken option, which is nice.
I also noticed they offer better vegetarian and vegan options compared to many other ramen places, which makes it a good choice for different dietary preferences.
For dessert, I highly recommend the fish-shaped pastry with custard filling (taiyaki). The custard was the best part, warm, soft, and perfectly sweet.
Overall, a solid ramen place and definitely worth visiting.

Jinsei Ramen is hands down one of the best spots for authentic ramen in the city. The broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — you can really taste the time and care that goes into it. The noodles have the perfect texture, and the toppings are fresh and generous.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a comforting bowl of ramen, especially on a cold day. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home.

If you’re craving quality Japanese ramen with amazing taste and great service, Jinsei Ramen is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended! 🍜

Visiting from Western Canada, we found ourselves strolling down Bank Street in search of something comforting and memorable. We had casually decided that ramen might be the answer, and by sheer luck we stumbled upon a newly opened spot tucked away on the upper floor at Laurier and Bank. What an unexpected gem.

The ramen was nothing short of exceptional—rich, balanced, and executed with a level of authenticity that feels as intrinsically Japanese as Tim Hortons feels Canadian. The broth carried remarkable depth, the noodles were perfectly textured, and the toppings were composed with care rather than excess. Portion sizes could’ve been more generous. The service was refined, attentive, and genuinely warm.

For anyone passing through the area, this establishment comes highly recommended.

I was here with my girlfriend place is super cute and vibrant in many ways. If you like good food and great service this is definitely a place to visit even for a date night. They have lots of tables even for a bigger group than two people. From the decoration to the food itself 10/10

I got the spicy ramen and added few of my own ingredients my girlfriend got the special bowl. Be sure to check the last page on menu before you order you can add ingredients.

Okay let me you about the good food now. 🤤 from the presentation to the flavour and texture 100/100

Next time I go I’m getting two bowls for me😂

Stop reading go and try it for yourself

I tried this ramen spot for the first time and honestly the broth surprised me in the best way. You can really taste the difference that comes from everything being made from scratch, and they even use osmosis filtered water for the broth and drinks. The chashu, the eggs, the aroma oils, all the little details they highlight on their menu truly come through in the bowl. It feels very traditional and thoughtfully made.

The only thing I found a bit pricey was the extra toppings. For example, 1.50 dollars for extra corn felt high, especially since they do not swap ingredients within the ramen the way many other places usually do. Not a dealbreaker but something to know.

The location is convenient if you work downtown, and you can tell because many government employees eat there. Parking is not easy at all since it is right in downtown Ottawa. The restaurant is also in a slightly odd position above the stairs, although the signage outside helps.

My only other small preference is that you have to pay at the counter at the end which breaks the flow a bit, but again it is not the end of the world.

Overall, the ramen itself is excellent. The broth is outstanding, the ingredients are high quality, and you can tell they put a lot of care into what they serve. I truly appreciate those details. I would definitely come back.
