Ideal Cafe

Great cafe. Typical coffee/tea options. They also have soups and sandwiches and some treats. A good amount of seating options. Plenty of parking in the area paid and unpaid.

I stopped by this place coming back to Toronto from a trip to Quebec with some friends and had the best cup of coffee I had ever tasted

It had super pronounced flavour notes and had a good strong body overall

It tasted similar to an IPA beer thats been fermented with various fruits and such to add organic and natural flavour notes, I’m not a fan of IPA beer but im certainly a fan of ideal coffees medium roast and all the flavour that comes with it!

Shout out to whoever was working that day (light skin, perhaps long hair? I cant remember) for brewing me up a fresh batch!

I will never forget and will always try and visit this place!

Excellent service, friendly staff and most important the taste of the Brazilian espresso. I ordered online and forgot to choose “shipping”, I called in yesterday and the lady said no worries, will send it out ASAP. This morning I got the beans and boy….just like what I am looking for. I am definitely unbiased and I can tell you this mix is IDEAL….I am an espresso psycho, this mix really got me. From now on, no more Costco crap… 😉

I love this café! As a local and a regular they’re always so kind and incredibly friendly! Even if I weren’t a local they’d make me feel right at home. The coffee is delicious, as is the food. The staff feel like your best friends. And the handmade cards for different occasions that one of the staff makes and sells are absolutely beautiful! Best café in Ottawa hands down.

Very nice cafe with amazing BLT. The wife enjoyed her chicken sausage wrap as well. Had a dark roast black coffee which was delicious and the wife enjoyed a highly recommended iced mocha.
Overall great place for quick grub and coffee with a laid back environment.
Was only in the city for the weekend, would recommend if you’re visiting.
