Hunter’s Public House

Hunter’s is just amazing. My boyfriend and I go practically every tuesday for trivia. I love doing trivia there it’s so fun. The staff are amazing and very friendly and have now recognized us that they remember our drink orders which is just very amazing of them to do. The food is really good, dont think I ever had a bad experience with their food. They have the best wings I ever had in Ottawa. Would very much recommend Hunter’s to everyone.

Good selection of lunch alternatives for a group. Our group had Seafood Chowder, French Onion Soup and Special burger. All looked appetising and were good tasting.

Hunter’s Public House is one of my favourite spots in the city! I love that they take reservations, which makes planning a night out so easy. The patio is beautiful and such a great place to relax with friends. The service is consistently excellent—special shout out to Alexa, who went absolutely above and beyond for us. She was friendly, attentive, and made the evening feel extra special.
The menu is impressively large, and while that usually makes me worry about quality, this place is the exception—everything I’ve tried has been delicious. I also really appreciate their wide selection of non-alcoholic beers, which is something you don’t see often. The restaurant itself is spotless, and the noise level is just right—energetic without being overwhelming. Overall, Hunter’s Public House is a gem, and I can’t wait to come back again and again!

I had the tacos, absolutely filled with meat, pulled pork was very flavourful, my favourite, next time I will try the fried fish, 2 tacos is plenty, topped with salsa (could have been fresher) many choices of sides to pick from, I chose tomato bisque, could have used a bit more seasoning but that is just my personal preference. Service was excellent, Ali is very attentive , a great server. Next time I go I will make sure to sit in his section.
