Heron Smash Burgers

From the first time we went here, I was absolutely blown away by their burgers and food. Quite literally the best burger I had had in my life! The burgers are juicy and sooo crispy, and they have several different burger types to choose from and accommodate several dietary restrictions including carrying gluten free options.

The service is also so amazing, which can be rare these days! Every time we go, and every person we’ve met working here, is seriously so genuinely kind, it is so nice to see! They even remember our order! (Which shows how much we’re obsessed with their burgers, and also how attentive they are). They are also really fast at making our orders too, which is impressive.

At $10 for a smash burger, you just can’t go wrong. Once you give it a try you will be stuck coming back all the time lol! If I had one tip for them it would be to perhaps put up a coat wrack for when you have your jacket off eating (if there’s not one already ) and maybe putting in comfier chairs or a lower table for comfort, in addition to bar stool chairs.

The location is also super central and convenient (please never move!! hahah)

Regardless, Heron Smash burgers is one of Ottawas best and you will be obsessed forever once you give it a try 😋

Absolutely scrumptious burger, and the deep fried pickles were delicious plus were a very generous portion for the price imo. They forgot our bacon and cheese but I’d bump it up to 5 stars if that weren’t the case. Will definitely be back!

I loved everything about this store, person who served me was very nice, even made a joke about how long the wait was (it was really quick), and just had a good energy to him.
The store itself was sick, I really liked the atmosphere in there, very well decorated, and had good music playing (Californication – Red Hot Chilli Peppers), just a shame that its kind of small inside.
The food itself was impeccable, smash burger was really good and juicy, nice melted cheese on it, the onions were done well, the fries tasted fresh, were really good, and came in a good portion. Food here is quite affordable and really well made.
I really recommend this place, as it is a local business, and it deserves way more love ❤️

Best smash burger in town!!! I’ve tried the vegan burger and the beef burger and both are great. The fries are awesome too! This place never disappoints and the owner is very friendly.

Ordered a burger with 3 patties and i just got home to try it and it every patty is burnt, I really tried to eat it and think its crispy but no my stomach now hurts and its 100% burnt because All i taste in my mouth is burnt after taste and cant even enjoy it at all, super dry super disappointed that I paid $20 for this burger, I will never in my life come back here again, The staff were nice but burger was really a big big let down… fries were really good though!
