Father & Sons Restaurant

Everytime I visit my daughter who is studying at University of Ottawa we always make sure to go to Iconic Fathers & Sons for classic canadian breakfast. As always the food is great, speedy service, great coffee and excellent prices. I always enjoy the classic breakfast and have tried many items on their menu and all are great. In the past have also popped in for an early dinner and pints. Again great! The waitress was fantastic and attentive. The young gentleman there needs to learn how to smile but having said we love the place and will definitely be back again!!

This is one of my favourite places to have a classic breakfast in Ottawa. The special for $9 is hard to beat. Food comes out fast and the staff is very friendly. Can be a bit busy and noisy in the later hours of the morning as it’s near the University but before 10am it’s easy to find a table and have a good meal. Highly recommend.

Came here with my classmates for brunch to celebrate the end of exams! We were a pretty large party but had a reservation ahead of time so we were able to be accommodated. I ordered the steak and eggs because I thought “why not?!” and $18 was a steal. It wasn’t gourmet or anything but it wasn’t half bad either. I guess you get what you pay for but the food was very affordable so no complaints here!

The atmosphere was super cozy and the place was pretty cute! I can’t remember the name of our server but she was also really nice. The location is also right by uOttawa main campus so it was easy to get here. Would definitely recommend to other students looking for some cheap eats!

This place is amazing. Nice atmosphere and great design. The server was nice and helpful. The thing that stands out most is the pricing. The food is very cheap for the amount of food you get. This is amazing for all the students who study at the University of Ottawa and are trying to save some money. I wish I was able to go for the breakfast because it looked amazing and the prices were insane but I was too late so I had lunch instead. I wanted to try a lot of different things so I ordered the Combo Plate which came with chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, onion rings, parodies, fried pickles, fries and a few sauces. Everything was amazing, the only thing I’d say is that the parodies were a little underwhelming but apart from that it was perfect. For $16.99 this was a huge portion and I wasn’t able to finish it. My friend’s got the Chicken Parmigiana, Buffalo Chicken Wrap and Poutine which they all said were really good. I would highly recommend anyone who’s looking for delicious food and huge portions for a cheaper price to come here.

Very popular restaurant 👌 it was packed on a Sunday morning 😋 food came quickly given how busy it was. And the service was pleasant. The server kept filling our coffee even though it was very busy. Thank you for accommodating my son’s non salty poutine order.
